Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Ceat, Aarvi Encon, Trans & Rectif, Weizmann Ltd and JK Tyre, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 126.35 points down at 17877.4 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Dynemic Product, Veekayem Fashion & Apparels Ltd., Alembic Pharma, Piramal Ent. and Sanofi India, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 11 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 39 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Maruti Suzuki, Eicher Motors, Adani Ports SEZ, Power Grid and NTPC were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cipla and Hero MotoCorp ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 412.96 points down at 59934.01.

Traders piled up positions in Tyres, Telecommunications, IT - Hardware, Power and Aquaculture sectors, while selling was witnessed in Defence, Metals - Ferrous, NBFC, Miscellaneous and Term Lending Institutions sectors during the day.
