Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Reliance Power, Paramount Comm, Reliance Infra, Aaron Industries and Rossell India, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 216.5 points down at 17542.8 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as FutureLifestyleFash, Piramal Ent., Future Enterprises, Future Retail and Biocon, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 13 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 37 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consumer, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, Eicher Motors and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, RIL, ONGC, TCS and SBI Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 770.48 points down at 58766.59.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Infrastructure, Holding Company, Industrial Consumables and Defence sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Miscellaneous, Term Lending Institutions, Gas & Petroleum and Petrochemicals sectors during the day.
