Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of GVK Power Infra, AMD Industries, Pavna Industries Ltd., Hilton Metal and Ethos Ltd., hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 39.15 points up at 17698.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Future Retail, Birla Tyres, 8K Miles Soft, Krsnaa Diagnostics and Vipul Ltd, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 26 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 24 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, Tata Steel, NTPC, UPL and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while Divis Labs, Apollo Hospital, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Consumer ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 130.18 points up at 59462.78.

Traders piled up positions in Industrial Equipment, Defence, Telecommunications, Electric/Electronics and Retail sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Aquaculture, Auto Ancillaries, Pharmaceuticals and Airlines sectors during the day.
