Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Wonderla Holidays, Safari Ind, Navkar Corp, Sree Rayalaseema and Cantabil Retail, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 124.25 points up at 17659.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Future Consumer, Agni Green Power Ltd., NGL Fine Chem, Future Retail and Birla Tyres, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 29 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 20 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, HDFC, Tech Mahindra and TCS were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Consumer, Apollo Hospital, ITC, Hindalco and NTPC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 515.31 points up at 59332.60.

Traders piled up positions in Defence, Industrial Equipment, Telecommunications, Tourism & Hospitality and Paper sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Aquaculture, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries and Tobacco sectors during the day.
