Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Speciality Rest, Sree Rayalaseema, Lotus Eye Hosp, Cool Caps Industries Ltd. and Beardsell Ltd, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 228.65 points up at 17158.25 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Bajaj Hindusthan Su, Aakash Exploration, DRC Systems India Ltd., IMP Powers Ltd and Karda Const, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 42 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 8 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, SBI Life, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Sun Pharma and HDFC Life were among top gainers during the day, while Dr. Reddys, Kotak Bank, SBI, Divis Labs and Axis Bank ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 712.46 points up at 57570.25.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Industrial Consumables, Metals - Non Ferrous, Mining and Agro Processing sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Auto Ancillaries, Gas & Petroleum, Pharmaceuticals and Tobacco sectors during the day.
