Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Elecon Engg Co, Vinyl Chemicals, eMudhra Ltd., Kirloskar Elec and Apar Industries, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 88.45 points down at 16631.0 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Zomato Ltd., Gayatri Project, Karda Const, Bombay Rayon and Birla Tyres, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 20 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, Coal India Ltd, Apollo Hospital and Hindalco were among top gainers during the day, while M&M, RIL, Maruti Suzuki, ONGC and Eicher Motors ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 306.01 points down at 55766.22.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Tyres, Chemicals, Mining and IT - Hardware sectors, while selling was witnessed in Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries, Pharmaceuticals, Electric/Electronics and Trading sectors during the day.
