Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Cheviot Company, Globesecure Technologies Ltd., Priti International, Apar Industries and Dangee Dums, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Cheviot Company, Globesecure Technologies Ltd., Priti International, Apar Industries and Dangee Dums, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 56.65 points up at 15350.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Vivimed Labs, Umang Dairies, FACT, Aban Offshore and Mahamaya Steel, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 26 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 24 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, HDFC, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cem. and Apollo Hospital were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Steel, ONGC, UPL, Hindalco and Coal India Ltd ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 237.42 points up at 51597.84.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Building Materials, Cement, FMCG and Gems and Jewellery sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Packaging sectors during the day.
