Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Oil India Ltd, Elecon Engg Co, Zenith Birla, Empyrean Cashews Ltd. and Hindustan Motor, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Oil India Ltd, Elecon Engg Co, Zenith Birla, Empyrean Cashews Ltd. and Hindustan Motor, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 14.75 points down at 16569.55 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Shekhawati Poly, Vertoz Advertising, Precision Metaliks Ltd., STC India and Xelpmoc Design, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 22 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 28 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Auto, JSW Steel, Cipla, ONGC and Tata Consumer were among top gainers during the day, while Shree Cements, BPCL, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cem. and Hero MotoCorp ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 93.91 points down at 55675.32.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Fertilisers, Sugar, Gas & Petroleum and Metals - Ferrous sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and FMCG sectors during the day.
