Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Aether Industries Ltd., Ion Exchange, Globesecure Technologies Ltd., Globe Intl. Carriers and Shubhlaxmi Jewel Art, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 43.7 points down at 16584.3 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Ramco Cements, Dalmia Bharat, JK Cement, Hikal Ltd and Grasim Inds., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 12 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 38 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, RIL, Infosys, L&T, Sun Pharma and TCS were among top gainers during the day, while Grasim Inds., UltraTech Cem., Shree Cements, Hero MotoCorp and Maruti Suzuki ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 48.88 points down at 55769.23.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, IT Enabled Services, Learning & Education, Petrochemicals and Construction sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Cement sectors during the day.
