Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Medico Remedies, Shubhlaxmi Jewel Art, Impex Ferro Tech, AVSL Industries and Shanti Overseas(Ind, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 144.35 points up at 16170.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Apollo Sindoori, Sequent Scientific, Silly Monks Entertai, Eldeco Housing and Vaibhav Global, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 37 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 13 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Apollo Hospital, SBI and HDFC Bank were among top gainers during the day, while ITC, UPL, Divis Labs, Sun Pharma and RIL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 503.27 points up at 54252.53.

Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Rubber, Telecommunications, Metals - Ferrous and Sugar sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Industrial Equipment sectors during the day.
