Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Welspun Corp, Nava Bharat Vent., Grauer & Weil, Priti International and KSB, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 456.75 points up at 16266.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd., Concor, Future Retail, Birla Tyres and Sonu Infratech Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 48 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 2 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Dr. Reddys, RIL, JSW Steel, Tata Motors and Nestle India were among top gainers during the day, while Shree Cements, UPL, Power Grid, UltraTech Cem. and TCS ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1534.16 points up at 54326.39.

Traders piled up positions in Irrigation & Allied Services, Industrial Equipment, Telecommunications, Shipping and Infrastructure sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Tyres sectors during the day.
