Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Honda Siel Power, Megastar Foods, GSS Infotech, Silver Touch Tech and Madhya Bharat Agro, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 417.0 points up at 16259.3 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Cigniti Tech, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Birla Tyres, Innovative Tyres & T and Future Retail, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 49 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 1 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Coal India Ltd, JSW Steel and ONGC were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Consumer, Shree Cements, Dr. Reddys, Cipla and Nestle India ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1344.63 points up at 54318.47.

Traders piled up positions in Cables, Metals - Non Ferrous, Mining, Metals - Ferrous and Rubber sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and InvIT sectors during the day.
