Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd., Asian Hotels(E), Seamec Ltd, Supreme Petro and EIH Associated, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd., Asian Hotels(E), Seamec Ltd, Supreme Petro and EIH Associated, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 69.0 points up at 17222.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Vaxtex Cotfab, Future Enterprises, Subex, Libas Designs and Sadbhav Eng, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 32 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 17 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Airtel, Coal India Ltd, Axis Bank, Eicher Motors and ICICI Bank were among top gainers during the day, while UPL, Nestle India, Dr. Reddys, HDFC and SBI Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 231.29 points up at 57593.49.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Mining, Cables, Petrochemicals and Fertilisers sectors, while selling was witnessed in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Textiles, Auto Ancillaries and Electric/Electronics sectors during the day.
