Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Shiv Aum Steels, Krishana Phoschem, Guj Mineral Dev., Agarwal Corp and North Eastern, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 22.9 points down at 17222.75 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Felix Industries, Akash Infra-Proj, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Ganga Forging and Shri Ram Switchgears, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 25 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 25 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Dr. Reddys, Coal India Ltd, Hindalco, UltraTech Cem. and Tech Mahindra were among top gainers during the day, while Kotak Bank, Titan Company, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and HDFC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 89.14 points down at 57595.68.

Traders piled up positions in Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Cables, Mining and Airlines sectors, while selling was witnessed in Textiles, Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Electric/Electronics and Auto Ancillaries sectors during the day.
