Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Madras Fert, Ganesh Housing, Dangee Dums, Orbit Exports and NIIT, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Madras Fert, Ganesh Housing, Dangee Dums, Orbit Exports and NIIT, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 197.9 points up at 17315.5 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Gateway Distriparks Ltd., Future Retail, FutureLifestyleFash, Future Enterprises and Future Supply Chain, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 42 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 8 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tech Mahindra, BPCL, Tata Motors, RIL and Indian Oil Corp. were among top gainers during the day, while HUL, Nestle India, Britannia, Cipla and Divis Labs ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 696.81 points up at 57989.30.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Learning & Education, Tobacco, Diversified and Gas & Petroleum sectors, while selling was witnessed in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Auto Ancillaries, Shipping and FMCG sectors during the day.
