Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Maithan Alloys, GNFC, Avadh Sugar Energy, Sarda Energy and Zuari Global, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Maithan Alloys, GNFC, Avadh Sugar Energy, Sarda Energy and Zuari Global, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 35.55 points up at 16630.45 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Karda Const, Akash Infra-Proj, Felix Industries, Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd. and P&G Health, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 29 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 21 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, Sun Pharma, BPCL, JSW Steel and Indian Oil Corp. were among top gainers during the day, while Nestle India, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Consumer, Hindalco and NTPC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 85.91 points up at 55550.30.

Traders piled up positions in Paper, Sugar, Industrial Equipment, Fertilisers and Telecommunications sectors, while selling was witnessed in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Construction, Shipping and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors during the day.
