Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Esab India, Bharat Bijlee, Canara Bank , Pioneer Distil and Triveni Turbine, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 185.6 points down at 17671.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., D K Enterprises Global Ltd., Felix Industries, Servotech Power Syst and Sansera Engineering Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, UltraTech Cem., Dr. Reddys, Shree Cements, Maruti Suzuki and Cipla were among top gainers during the day, while Tech Mahindra, NTPC, Kotak Bank, IndusInd Bank and L&T ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 677.77 points down at 59306.93.

Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Industrial Equipment, Beverages - Alcoholic, Defence and Cement sectors, while selling was witnessed in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Services and Construction sectors during the day.
