Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Shoppers Stop, Arihant Found, IRB Infra Dev., Confidence Petro and Jindal Worldwide, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Shoppers Stop, Arihant Found, IRB Infra Dev., Confidence Petro and Jindal Worldwide, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 88.5 points down at 18178.1 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Crown Lifters, Dev Information Tech, SREI Infra Fin, Bhagiradha Chem and Quadpro ITeS Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Kotak Bank, Tata Motors, Grasim Inds., BPCL and HDFC were among top gainers during the day, while Asian Paints, Hindalco, RIL, Infosys and Dr. Reddys ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 336.46 points down at 60923.50.

Traders piled up positions in Trading, Banks, Infrastructure, Airlines and Auto sectors, while selling was witnessed in Miscellaneous, Learning & Education, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock, Services and Building Materials sectors during the day.
