Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Gabriel India, TN Telecom, Prime Focus, Euro India Fresh and Niraj Ispat Ind., hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 88.4 points down at 25453.4 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Jindal Worldwide, Stampede Cap(DVR), Ganga Forging, Sadhana Nitro and Raymond Realty, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 23 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 27 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cem. and Maruti Suzuki were among top gainers during the day, while Shriram Finance, HDFC Life, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv and L&T ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 287.6 points down at 83409.69.

Traders piled up positions in General, IT Enabled Services, Tourism & Hospitality, Auto and Retail sectors, while selling was witnessed in IT - Hardware, Industrial Consumables, Construction, Trading and Rubber sectors during the day.
