Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Apollo Micro Systems, Belrise Industries, GSK Pharma, Force Motors and Astra Microwave, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 73.75 points down at 24752.45 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Capital India Fin, Orchid Pharma, Borana Weaves, NIIT Learning System and California Soft(PP), touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 14 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 36 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HDFC Life, BEL, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while ITC, IndusInd Bank, Nestle India, Apollo Hospital and UltraTech Cem. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 239.31 points down at 81312.32.

Traders piled up positions in IT Enabled Services, General, Tourism & Hospitality, Retail and Auto sectors, while selling was witnessed in Tobacco, Tea / Coffee, Irrigation & Allied Services, Industrial Equipment and Glass sectors during the day.
