Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Avalon Technologies, Gala Precision Engin, JSW Holdings, DCM Shriram and KRN Heat Exchanger, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 284.71 points down at 24199.35 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Prince Pipes, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon, IndInfravit Trust and 3rd Rock MultiMedia, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 5 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 45 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Apollo Hospital, SBI, HDFC Life, TCS and L&T were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, Trent, Shriram Finance, Grasim Inds. and Tech Mahindra ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 836.34 points at 79541.79.

Traders piled up positions in General, NBFC, Beverages - Alcoholic, Telecommunications and Apparels sectors, while selling was witnessed in Diversified, Industrial Consumables, Metals - Non Ferrous, Pharmaceuticals and Retail sectors during the day.
