Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Shree Rama Multi, Elgi Rubber Co, OrientalAromatics, Siyaram Silk and Pyramid Technoplast, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 309.0 points down at 23995.35 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Popular Vehicles, Deepak Builders & En, OCCL Ltd., TCI Express and Axita Cotton, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 8 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 42 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, M&M, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, SBI and Dr. Reddys were among top gainers during the day, while Hero MotoCorp, Grasim Inds., Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports SEZ and BPCL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 941.88 points at 78782.24.

Traders piled up positions in General, NBFC, Beverages - Alcoholic, IT Enabled Services and Telecommunications sectors, while selling was witnessed in Diversified, Industrial Consumables, Construction, Agro Processing and Metals - Ferrous sectors during the day.
