Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of AstraZeneca, Visa Steel Ltd, Diffusion Engineers, Ujaas Energy and Power & Instrument, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 218.85 points down at 24795.75 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Rossell India, U Y Fincorp, Bajaj Housing Fin, Commercial Syn Bags and HLV Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 10 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 40 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, M&M, ITC, Trent, Bharti Airtel and Infosys were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ports SEZ, BEL, NTPC, Coal India Ltd and SBI ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 638.45 points down at 81050.0.

Traders piled up positions in General, NBFC, Telecommunications, Beverages - Alcoholic and Tobacco sectors, while selling was witnessed in Irrigation & Allied Services, Industrial Equipment, FMCG, Paper and Trading sectors during the day.
