Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Mukka Proteins, Kellton Tech, Godfrey Philips, Geojit Financial and ISMT Ltd, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 84.55 points up at 24586.7 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Akme Fintrade(India, Brightcom Group, SecUR Credentials, Landmark Cars and JP Associates, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 34 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, SBI Life, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Auto and SBI were among top gainers during the day, while LTIMindtree, Asian Paints, Grasim Inds., Tata Steel and Axis Bank ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 145.52 points up at 80664.86.

Traders piled up positions in Fertilisers, Petrochemicals, Term Lending Institutions, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Defence sectors, while selling was witnessed in Aquaculture, Beverages - Alcoholic, Gems and Jewellery, Metals - Ferrous and Metals - Non Ferrous sectors during the day.
