Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Fiberweb India, Somi Conveyor, Amines Plastic, Precot Meridian and AGC Networks, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 147.5 points up at 23868.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Future Supply Chain, Sarthak Metals, GIR Natureview, Lakshmi Precis and BDR Buildcon, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 25 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 25 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, RIL, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cem., ICICI Bank and Grasim Inds. were among top gainers during the day, while Apollo Hospital, M&M, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel and Hindalco ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 620.73 points up at 78674.25.

Traders piled up positions in Fertilisers, Irrigation & Allied Services, Packaging, Sugar and Paper sectors, while selling was witnessed in Gas & Petroleum, Airlines, Beverages - Alcoholic, Metals - Non Ferrous and Tobacco sectors during the day.
