Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Poddar Pigments, Paras Defence, JNK India, Windsor Machine and Nandan Denim, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Poddar Pigments, Paras Defence, JNK India, Windsor Machine and Nandan Denim, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 92.31 points up at 23557.9 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as CMI Ltd, SEL Manufacturing Co, IndInfravit Trust, Ahimsa Ind and GIR Natureview, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 35 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 15 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Shriram Finance, Power Grid, Wipro, Titan Company and ICICI Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Maruti Suzuki, Dr. Reddys, UltraTech Cem., Tata Steel and Hero MotoCorp ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 308.37 points up at 77301.14.

Traders piled up positions in Fertilisers, Defence, Irrigation & Allied Services, Sugar and Miscellaneous sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Non Ferrous, Beverages - Alcoholic, Tobacco, Airlines and IT Software sectors during the day.
