Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of J G Chemicals, Goa Carbons, Advani Hotels, Indian Metals and DJ Mediaprint & Logi, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 18.65 points down at 22434.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Gopal Snacks, Mask Investments, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon and IndInfravit Trust, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Shriram Finance, NTPC, Divis Labs, TCS and Axis Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Nestle India, Bajaj Auto, Dr. Reddys, Kotak Bank and Britannia ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 27.09 points down at 73876.82.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Fertilisers, Media & Entertainment, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Agro Processing, Real Estate, Airlines and Construction sectors during the day.
