Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.
NEW DELHI: Shares of R K Swamy, Solar Ind., Wealth First Port, Somi Conveyor and Gopal Snacks, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 123.31 points down at 22023.35 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Davangere Sugar, Omkar Speciality, Bohra Industries, Hindustan Zinc and Bannari Amman, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 14 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 36 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, UPL, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Life and Adani Ent. were among top gainers during the day, while M&M, BPCL, Coal India Ltd, Tata Motors and L&T ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 453.85 points down at 72643.43.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Leather, IT - Hardware, Cables and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Agro Processing, FMCG, Defence, Logistics and Mining sectors during the day.
