Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of IFCI, Trans & Rectif, MTNL, Manaksia Aluminium and Avonmore Capital &, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 215.16 points up at 21453.95 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as ideaForge Technology, Orient Bell, Astec Lifesc, Rajratan Global and Blue Coast Hotel, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 41 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 9 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, Dr. Reddys, Tata Steel, Power Grid and HCL Tech were among top gainers during the day, while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Adani Ports SEZ and HDFC Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 689.76 points up at 71060.31.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Cables, Term Lending Institutions, Trading and Media & Entertainment sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Logistics, Defence, Industrial Equipment and Shipping sectors during the day.
