Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Visagar Polytex, Pavna Industries, Pondy Oxides, PNB Gilts and Hercules Hoists, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 31.85 points up at 21544.85 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as SKS Textiles, Muthoot Microfin, Raj Rayon, Gandhar Oil Refinery and IndInfravit Trust, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hero MotoCorp, Adani Ports SEZ, Apollo Hospital, SBI Life and Adani Ent. were among top gainers during the day, while Nestle India, Britannia, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv and HDFC Bank ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 30.99 points up at 71386.21.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Real Estate, Shipping, Airlines and Tyres sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Agro Processing, Logistics, Apparels and Media & Entertainment sectors during the day.
