Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Allcargo Terminals, BAG Films, Bharat Road Net, S Chand & Co and Mahamaya Steel, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Allcargo Terminals, BAG Films, Bharat Road Net, S Chand & Co and Mahamaya Steel, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 47.3 points down at 21731.4 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Raj Rayon, IKIO Lighting, Azad Engineering, GIR Natureview and BDR Buildcon, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 20 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consumer, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ent. and Nestle India were among top gainers during the day, while Apollo Hospital, Hero MotoCorp, M&M, Tech Mahindra and UltraTech Cem. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 170.12 points down at 72240.26.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Auto, Airlines, Leather and Cables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Agro Processing, Learning & Education, Shipping, Mining and Fertilisers sectors during the day.
