Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Alok Industries, VST Industries, Sanginita Chemicals, Akash Infra-Proj and GTL Ltd, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 47.3 points down at 21731.4 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Bajel Projects, Akshar Spintex, IKIO Lighting, Raj Rayon and Flair Writing Indust, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 20 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consumer, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ent. and Nestle India were among top gainers during the day, while BPCL, ONGC, SBI, Coal India Ltd and Infosys ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 170.12 points down at 72240.26.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Glass, Leather, Tea / Coffee and Learning & Education sectors, while selling was witnessed in Agro Processing, Aquaculture, Fertilisers, General and Petrochemicals sectors during the day.
