Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Welspun Invst, Macpower CNC Machine, Wealth First Port, Welspun India and Kewal Kiran Clo, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 159.6 points down at 19122.15 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Krishana Phoschem, Netweb Technologies, Updater Service, Arihant Superst and SecMark Consultancy, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 10 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 40 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Coal India Ltd, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Tata Consumer and SBI were among top gainers during the day, while Infosys, Adani Ent., Cipla, Apollo Hospital and NTPC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 522.82 points down at 64049.06.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Airlines, Retail, Tea / Coffee and Sugar sectors, while selling was witnessed in Construction, Cables, Irrigation & Allied Services, Trading and Holding Company sectors during the day.
