Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of NIIT Learning System, Silver Touch Tech, ITI Ltd, IOL Chemicals and Jocil Ltd, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 76.8 points up at 20070.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Vaxtex Cotfab, Sungarner Energies, Penta Gold, Sahaj Fashions and Vasa Retail & Overse, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 31 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Grasim Inds., Coal India Ltd, Tata Consumer, Bharti Airtel and Titan Company were among top gainers during the day, while HDFC Life, M&M, L&T, Adani Ports SEZ and Divis Labs ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 245.86 points up at 67466.99.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Mining, Sugar, Paper and Media & Entertainment sectors, while selling was witnessed in Banks, Irrigation & Allied Services, Power, Term Lending Institutions and Airlines sectors during the day.
