Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of MPS Ltd, Man Industries, Vertexplus Technolo, GE Power India and Star Cement, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 207.0 points down at 19526.55 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as SMVD Poly Pack, KKV Agro Powers Ltd., Richa Info Systems L, Jalan Transolutions and Campus Activewear, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 7 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 43 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Divis Labs, Nestle India, HUL, Asian Paints and Tech Mahindra were among top gainers during the day, while Hero MotoCorp, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv and NTPC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 676.53 points down at 65782.78.

Traders piled up positions in Cables, Telecommunications, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock, FMCG and ReIT sectors, while selling was witnessed in Banks, IT - Hardware, Irrigation & Allied Services, Trading and Defence sectors during the day.
