Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of GKW Ltd, Uma Exports, Baid Leasing, Steel Strips and Signet Ind, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 39.75 points up at 18755.9 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as D P Abhushan, GHCL Textiles, Rachana Infrastructu, Infollion Research and Suumaya Lifestyle, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 21 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consumer, Tata Steel, Grasim Inds., JSW Steel and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel and Hero MotoCorp ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 85.35 points up at 63228.51.

Traders piled up positions in Fertilisers, Telecommunications, Cables, Tea / Coffee and Rubber sectors, while selling was witnessed in Trading, Real Estate, Media & Entertainment, General and Electric/Electronics sectors during the day.
