Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Vesuvius India, Sotac Pharmaceutical, Repro India, Aaron Industries and KPI Global Infra, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Vesuvius India, Sotac Pharmaceutical, Repro India, Aaron Industries and KPI Global Infra, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 112.35 points down at 18286.5 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Uma Converter, Accuracy Shipping, Jakharia Fabric, Cineline India and Rajnandini Metal, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, BPCL, ONGC, Coal India Ltd, Bajaj Finance and NTPC were among top gainers during the day, while HDFC, Tata Motors, M&M, HDFC Bank and Apollo Hospital ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 413.24 points down at 61932.47.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Defence, Plastics, Textiles and Airlines sectors, while selling was witnessed in Media & Entertainment, Term Lending Institutions, General, Retail and Tea / Coffee sectors during the day.
