Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 11:15AM

Indowind Energy(up 3.47%), Adani Power(up 3.10%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.98%), ADANIGREEN(up 2.80%), GE Power India Limited(up 2.54%), NLC India(up 2.30%), Reliance Power(up 2.27%), JSW Energy(up 2.19%), RTNPOWER(up 2.11%) and Alstom T&D India(up 2.02%) were among the top gainers.

Energy Development Company(down 3.20%), Karma Energy(down 2.03%), Suzlon Energy(down 1.13%), NHPC(down 0.26%) and CESC(down 0.25%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 246.7 points up at 17868.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 810.25 points at 59951.48 at around 11:15AM.

Hero MotoCorp(up 3.52%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.51%), Tata Motors(up 3.22%), Cipla(up 3.05%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.79%), Asian Paints(up 2.47%), Eicher Motors(up 2.47%), HCL Technologies(up 2.47%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.38%) and Titan Company Ltd(up 2.26%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 0.46%) were trading in the red.
