Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Monday at 11:26AM

Adani Power(up 5.83%), KEC International(up 4.50%), Adani Transmissions(up 4.44%), Karma Energy(up 3.25%), ADANIGREEN(up 2.18%), NLC India(up 2.15%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.93%), Voltamp Transformers(up 1.89%), GE Power India Limited(up 1.69%) and Tata Power Company(up 1.54%) were among the top gainers.

Orient Green Power Company(down 4.24%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 3.82%), K.P.I. Global Infras(down 2.10%), Inox Wind Energy(down 1.42%), SJVN(down 1.16%), Gujarat Industries Power(down 0.96%), Alstom T&D India(down 0.48%), Energy Development Company(down 0.31%) and Kalpataru Projects International(down 0.30%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 65.95 points up at 19376.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 236.61 points at 65185.27 at around 11:26AM.

Bajaj Finance(up 2.19%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.0%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.91%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.89%), UPL Ltd(up 1.74%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.53%), NTPC(up 1.49%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.22%), JSW Steel(up 1.09%) and Coal India(up 1.08%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries(down 1.31%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.75%), Britannia Industries(down 0.46%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.31%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.17%) and Maruti Suzuki(down 0.14%) were trading in the red.
