Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 3.93%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 0.79 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 7.04 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 6.24 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 5.7 per cent), DLF(down 3.69 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 3.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 3.93 per cent down at 475.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 263.2 points at 16985.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 889.4 points at 57011.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 6 ended in the green, while 44 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ibull Housing Fin, Zomato Ltd. and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Gokul Refoils, Global Vectra, IMP Powers Ltd, Gyscoal Alloys and Indo Thai Sec hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd., Strides Shasun, Dhruv Consultancy, Dhani Ibull Ventures and IRIS Business Servic hit their fresh 52-week lows.
