Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 3.71%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Swan Energy Ltd.(down 18.49 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 5.15 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 5.07 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 4.22 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 3.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 3.71 per cent down at 872.9.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 3.05 points at 22335.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 165.32 points at 73667.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 38 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Infibeam Avenues and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Quick Heal Tech, Somi Conveyor, Modern Threads(India)Ltd., Tarapur Trans and Hercules Hoists hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sindhu Trade, Medicamen Bio, Nandani Creation, Nova Agritech and Exicom Tele-Systems hit their fresh 52-week lows.
