Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.91% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:15AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 4.33 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Sobha Ltd.(down 5.55 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 4.23 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 4.03 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.17 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 2.91 per cent at 1116.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 55.0 points at 23502.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 38.89 points at 77262.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.
Shares of Indus Towers, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra and Rashtriya Chemicals were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kalyani Forge, Windsor Machine, Tirupati Forge, LE Travenues Techno and Prajay Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SecUR Credentials, Madhav Marbles, Bang Overseas, GIR Natureview and IndInfravit Trust hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
