Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.51%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.

Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 0.32 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties(down 4.55 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 3.58 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.67 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.49 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 2.4 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 2.51 per cent down at 439.1.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 267.75 points at 17490.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 872.28 points at 58773.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 5 ended in the green, while 45 closed in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, YES Bank and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sikko Industries, DB Corp., Indo Amines, Ruby Mills and Elgi Equipments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dynemic Product, Future Retail, Vaxtex Cotfab, Debock Sales & Mktg and Agni Green Power Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
