Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.09%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.82 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 2.81 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.09 per cent down at 809.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 2.5 points at 22545.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 10.31 points at 74612.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bandhan Bank, IDFC First Bank and Manappuram Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Bajaj Finance, Blue Coast Hotel, Norben Tea Exp, Chambal Fertilisers and Hexaware Technologie hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while R R Kabel, Swelect Energy, GNFC, JNK India and Enviro Infra Enginee hit their fresh 52-week lows.
