Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.83%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises(up 1.13 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 5.96 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 4.71 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 3.21 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.86 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 2.11 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.83 per cent down at 370.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 56.65 points at 15350.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 237.42 points at 51597.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Vedanta and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Cheviot Company, Globesecure Technologies Ltd., Priti International, Apar Industries and Dangee Dums hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vivimed Labs, Umang Dairies, FACT, Aban Offshore and Mahamaya Steel hit their fresh 52-week lows.
