Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.78%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 3.17 per cent), SOBHA(up 1.66 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.79 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 3.75 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 3.36 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 2.99 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.6 per cent) and DLF(down 1.92 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.78 per cent down at 403.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 91.65 points at 17944.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 316.94 points at 61002.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 ended in the green, while 36 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd. and Brightcom Group were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Manav Infra Projects, Marshall Machines, Bodhi Tree Multimed, Surya Roshni and Mahalaxmi Rub hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Arshiya, Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Gr, Ahimsa Industries L and Suumaya Lifestyle hit their fresh 52-week lows.
