Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.74%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.

Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 3.57 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 2.39 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.74 per cent down at 831.45.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 102.16 points at 22929.25, while the BSE Sensex stood down 199.76 points at 75939.21.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 ended in the green, while 39 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and Manappuram Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Norben Tea Exp, Blue Coast Hotel, SBI Card and Aarvee Denims hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Concord Enviro Syste, We Win, Anjani Portland, HP Adhesives and Deepak Nitrite hit their fresh 52-week lows.
