Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.69% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:20AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 1.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 4.96 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 4.47 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.64 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.11 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 1.79 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 1.69 per cent at 371.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 4.4 points at 15297.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 61.01 points at 51421.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, SAIL and MRPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Cheviot Company, Apar Industries, Priti International, Globesecure Technologies Ltd. and Wendt India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FACT, Fiberweb India, Vedanta, Biofil Chem and Hind Copper hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
