Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.62% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:16AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 0.72 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.7 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oberoi Realty(down 5.53 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 2.68 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.2 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 1.78 per cent) and DLF(down 1.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 1.62 per cent at 464.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 61.05 points at 18225.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 209.05 points at 61723.42.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kaynes Technology In, Abans Holdings, Quicktouch Technolog, Suryoday Small Finan and Ksolves India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while V Mart Retail, A G Universal, PVR, Uma Converter and SEL Manufact hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
