Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.44% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.59 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.47 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Godrej Properties(down 4.3 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.34 per cent), SOBHA(down 2.34 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.52 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.9 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 1.44 per cent at 540.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 49.5 points at 19477.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 184.41 points at 65598.37.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vedanta, Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Integrated Personnel, Prakash Pipes, Jay Jalaram Tech, KSB and Sarveshwar Foods hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BKM Industries, SMVD Poly Pack, Service Care, VIP Ind. and Sintex Plastics Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
